When I left the military, I joined BAE working in Saudi Arabia on the same aircraft that I worked on in the RAF. During my time in Saudi, when it became apparent that I was facing redundancy I was offered a NEBOSH General Certificate course. Upon leaving Saudi and working for a short period for BAE UK at RAF Marham, again, on the same aircraft, I decided to leave the aircraft industry as it appeared that the construction industry shared a similar ethos to the military.

Vistry Group employs many ex-military from all three branches and carries out annual road shows to attract additional ex forces members.

If a member of the ex-military was considering moving into the construction industry with Vistry I would advise them to do it. There is a friendly group of people, plenty of banter, good job security, and promotion possibilities. ?.
